Fried cod with olive oil

 Crisp and flaky, this dish is simple and quick paired with potato fries and steamed green beans.

  • 8 ounces of cod
  • ¼ c olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons infused garlic olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp gluten free all-purpose flour
  • Black sea salt
  • Five Spice season

Step One: In a bowl, add 8 ounces of cod, cut into 2 portions. Pour and toss 2 teaspoons infused garlic olive oil. Add 2 tbsp cornstarch, 4 tbsp gluten free all-purpose flour coats evenly.

Step Two: In a small nonstick frying pan, add ¼ cup olive oil and heat on med-high when oil gets hot, add the 2 pieces of coated cod in the oil. Sprinkle salt and five spice seasoning on top of cod pieces. Cook on each side for 4 minutes or until golden brown on each side flip only once. Serve immediately.
