Sweet and Sour Meatballs

 There's nothing quite like the taste of a good sweet and sour meatball. The perfect combination of savory and sweet, these little balls of deliciousness are sure to please any palate. Whether you're serving them as an appetizer or main course, these meatballs are sure to be a hit! 

  Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. hamburger, ground pork or lamb    
  • 1 tsp. Hing powder
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • ½ tsp. white pepper
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs, gluten-free
  • 2 tsp. parsley
  • 2 cups grape jelly

Preparation

  1. Prepare a conventional oven and preheat to 425F. Also, prepare cookie sheet by lining it with wax paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add ground meat, parsley, and breadcrumbs, and mix well using your hands until completely blended.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions, transform them into 1 ½" diameter meatballs using your hands and arrange them on the prepared cookie sheet.
  4. Place the cookie sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Once done, remove from oven.
  5. In a crock pot over low heat, add grape jelly, pepper, Hing powder, salt, and meatballs, and cook for 4 hours.
  6. Once done, remove from heat and serve with rice or mashed potatoes. 

Note:

You can use minced turkey or beef meat as well. Make sure the meatballs are of equal size; it is crucial for even cooking.
