Pepperoni Pizza Pie

Pepperoni pizza is a type of pizza that is made with a crust that is shaped like a pie. The dough is topped with sauce, cheese, and pepperoni and baked to make a perfect pizza.


Preparation time: 7 minutes
For the Sauce:

  • 1 c tomato paste
  • ¼ c infused garlic oil
  • 1 ½ tsp. “Hing” asafetida powder, Gluten-free
  • ¼ tsp. sugar
  • 1 15” pizza crust, precooked
  • 1 c mozzarella cheese, lactose-free
  • 1 c extra sharp cheddar cheese (aged over 12 months1 c uncured pepperoni slices.  
Preparation

  1. For the Sauce: In a saucepan over low heat, add tomato sauce, garlic oil, hing and sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer for 20 minutes. Then remove from heat and set aside.
  2. For the Pizza: Prepare boxed pie crust according to the package instructions. For a crispier crust, you can bake for an additional 5 to 15 minutes.
  3. Prepare oven and preheat to 400F.
  4. Add prepared sauce to the precooked pizza crust, then add pepperoni and cheese. Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until all ingredients are toasted and bubbling.
  5. Once ready, remove from oven, slice, and serve hot.
